Four mayors and ENI CBC Programmes spoke of neighbourhood

18th edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities took full turn to virtual form having three weeks of online sessions of people-to-people cooperation, cohesion & cooperation and closing up with revolve around the theme ‘Green Europe’.

Cross-Border Cooperation under the ENI CBC took its stand today in joint workshop of seven ENI CBC Programmes with the Russian Federation and TESIM, welcoming four mayors from European and Russian border regions. “Let mayors speak about neighbourhood” workshop highlighted cooperation in various fields, from tourism to border management and mobility, from culture to protection of natural resources. 

Experiences bridging sustainable results from ENPI 2007-2013 to CBC 2014-2020, and further on, carrying us to 2021-2027 period, have huge potential of expertise, networks, innovations and friendships in participating countries. In addition, with many sites of reconstructed roads and renewed safe and efficient border-crossing infrastructures. The workshop showcased how CBC projects can build long-lasting relations between local and regional authorities across the borders.
