BENEFITS OF USING RACI -MATRIX (Application page Relevance)

Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RACI) is a method created to preventing over-allocation of the project resources, ensuring that no task is overlooked, providing clear understanding and definition of the role of each partner and providing a fast and efficient way to re-allocate resources when there is turnover.

FOUR PARTNER ROLES IN RACI -MATRIX

R = responsible
A role that is responsible for completing a task or work-package. Typically reserves costs to the project budget on the task in question.

A = accountable
A role that is accountable, having the final authority or accountability for a task’s or work-package’s completion. Typically only one partner is accountable. Typically reserves costs to the project budget on the task in question.

C = consulted
A role that is consulted and may be seen as kind of an adviser to a task or work-package. Typically may reserve travel cost and/or expert fee to the project budget on the task in question.

I = informed
A role that is informed, that is, to be kept up to date on task’s completion and results. Typically reserves no costs to the project budget on the task in question.
