SEFR ENPI CBC 2007-2013 – closing accounts and archiving

The South-East Finland – Russia ENPI CBC 2007-2013 balance payment has been made and the Programme is officially closed in November 2020. Following the Commission regulation (EU) No 951/2007 Art. 45, the projects funded by the Programme have to keep all documents for seven (7) years from the date of payment of the balance for the Programme by the European Commission. This obligation concern lead partners and partners. 

In terms of project archiving this means that the documents, in particular the reports and supporting documents as well as accounts, accounting documents and any other document relating to the financing of the project, need to be stored until 1st December 2027. After this date the documents can be destroyed.  

The Joint Managing Authority and other relevant organisations have the right to conduct checks and audits after the conclusion of a project and during the archiving period.

The online course “Methods for assessing pollution caused by road transport and approaches to reduce the environmental impacts”, developed by specialists and experts of the Green InterTraffic project team, is open for all interested parties.

In the framework of the course, which consists of 9 topics, it is proposed to self-study of educational materials (video lectures, presentations and other special materials), as well as to pass a test on each topic. Participants who have completed the training course and successfully passed the tests will receive the Certificate.

This course will lead the students to understand the influence of the road transport emissions to climate and air quality. The educational complex presents also means how the road traffic safety can be improved by following the road weather forecasts in road maintenance and in trip scheduling.

Based on the results of measurements of innovative AQT sensors, the Green InterTraffic project partners prepared the Report on air quality on the E18 St. Petersburg-Helsinki highway

The partners of the Green InterTraffic project have prepared the Report on air quality on the E18 highway between Helsinki and St. Petersburg. As part of the study, which aimed to study the environmental impact of road transport, an analysis of the current situation and future prospects for the target year 2035 was carried out.

The analysis was carried out using dispersion modeling and measurement results obtained using innovative Finnish-made AQT sensors. In 2019, as part of the project, 2 sensors were installed on the Russian and Finnish territories of the route.

The pilot training “Methods for assessing transport pollution and approaches to reduce the environmental impacts and road weather observation” of the Green InterTraffic project is finishing

On December 17, an online Workshop was held for participants of the pilot training. The training was held on the basis of the Educational Complex developed within the framework of the Green InterTraffic project and consisting of 9 topics.

Project Leader, vice-president of the SPbCCI Ludmila Karelina welcomed the participants . The authors of the course gave brief overview and the main recommendations under their lectures. The course participants asked the authors of the lectures questions that arose in the course of their self-study, gave some recommendations and thanked the project partners for developing the training and organizing the meeting.

The participants of the pilot training were representatives of SRI Atmosphere, State Institute of St.Petersburg Master Plan, Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus company, etc. The training consisted of independent study of educational materials – video lectures, presentations and special materials. Course participants who successfully pass the test will receive supporting certificates.

Project partners of the Bringing Together project presented the Prototype of the Russian-Finnish Digital Investment Platform to Russian experts

On December 16, within the framework of the Bringing Together project, the online Workshop “Russian-Finnish Digital Investment Platform” was held, which was attended by project partners, Russian experts, representatives of accelerators and business associations.

Project Leader, vice-president of the SPbCCI Ludmila Karelina spoke about the project and its main aim and presented the project partners. Mikhail Kosoy, Mikhail Orlovsky and Oksana Khachaturian, representatives of IPE LAB Ltd., presented the concept of the Investment Platform and demonstrated its prototype.

The experts gave recommendations and made a number of proposals for the development of the Platform. They advised to pay great attention to the development of communication between users of the Platform; solve problems related to team building; work out a single methodology; prepare understandable marketing materials for the target audience.

New video is released – have a look on Priority 2

During the production of the Programme’s promotion video, published in December 2019, we planned complementary releases presenting insights to each four priorities of the South-East Finland – Russia CBC 2014-2020. Since the videos are such a good way to tell stories and open views on variety of Programme’s actions, we look forward to show our audiences the whole project family and people behind them. 

Now, we are ready with the first out of four priority releases. The journey starts from the Priority 2: Innovative, skilled and well-educated area, and the 17 Cross-Border Cooperation projects funded under this line. With official words they support to education, research, technological development and innovation, but we think they are also much more. 

Warm thanks to everyone contributed to this video. Special thanks to three project representatives who reached beyond for the deeper meaning and gained benefits of Finnish-Russian cooperation, to which all CBC projects give their valuable inputs.

INCROBB project presented the results of the survey carried out in Russia and Finland at the XVIII FORUM of Saint Petersburg SMEs. Apart of the mentioned results the project Partners released the planned activity related to developing a mechanism of involving hidden experts into cross-border business life, as well as presented the business initiatives of SaimaanVirta. Wide audience of entrepreneurs and authorities of Saint Petersburg attended the forum.
