Cross-border networks and resources in system of life-long education and development of skills

The project idea is to increase the level of professional education of young people and elderly people in a transboundary territory by introducing innovative technologies, increasing the availability and effectiveness of vocational training, including: Ensuring high accessibility and equality in obtaining educational services in the required specialty regardless of place of residence, gender status, age and property status of the trainee; Improve the quality of vocational training, create innovative tools and technologies for small and medium-sized educational institutions, and enterprises that provide quality continuous lifelong learning; Creation of a cross-border infrastructure for the management of the Network’s institutions from educational institutions and industrial enterprises, the expansion of the exchange of best practices, intellectual property and technologies.

Main activities would be events: Launch of an international infrastructure with Competence Centers in the Russian Federation and Finland; Creation of an innovative technological platform – the software complex “Unified open multilingual educational platform” on the basis of cloud technologies; Creation of pilot interactive courses, simulators, systems of current and final testing; Creation of a technical architecture – server complex, telecommunication equipment and office equipment, – which will ensure the stability of the project after its completion.

Desired partners are in Finland, ENI, Small and medium vocational education institutions, Universities of applied sciences, networks of educational institutions, local and regional authorities. Vocational education, information educational technology, personnel qualification management, automated tools and technologies for vocational education.

The project idea is the development of cross-border networks and resources for the effective management of the qualifications of working-life professionals.

Main activity would be getting the best practices and networking. Preparation and launch of the International Center for the Development of Qualifications. Implementation of the multi-user hardware and software complex “Human Resource Development”. Information and methodological materials on the management of the qualifications of workers in the professions. Conducting conferences, seminars, webinars, training target groups.

Desired partners are in Finland. Specialized institutions of vocational education and training, networks and associations of vocational education institutions. Departments of human resources management of small, medium and large industrial enterprises, administration and employment and social protection services responsible for human resources management.

The project idea is to assist SMEs in commercialization of their innovative ideas and products and in market entry through creating growing points on both sides of the border (Imatra and Saint Petersburg).

The project idea objective is the preservation of national traditions in handicraft production, transfer of experience of unique technologies of masters from generation to generation.

Main activities are preservation and revival of the traditions of original folk crafts and crafts through the creation of new and more efficient work of existing enterprises and entrepreneurs, raising public awareness of the traditions and modern development of folk crafts and crafts, a wide stratum of the population will receive means of subsistence.

Desired partners are crafts and crafts associations, municipalities interested in organizing small handicraft businesses.

The project idea objective are establishing new companies based on university R&D results; attracting the professional technology brokerage companies operating on international markets and setting up the network of technology brokers and entrepreneurial universities.

Main activities are benchmarking on best international experiences; development of brokerage model; testing of the model; accelerating the technological start ups actions; setting up the network of universities and brokers; networking and dissemination events; development and carry out of training programs for brokers and employees of universities – similar to www.technobroker.ru (in Russian – Google Translator is needed) and matching events of university researchers and scientists, technology brokers and companies, who are interested in technological modernization.

Desired partners are universities who position themselves as an entrepreneurial university. From Russian side: ITMO University (www.ifmo.ru). Companies, who are specialized on technology brokerage, technology transfer, commercialization of innovations. Regional development agencies, municipal companies, responsible for business development and innovations.

International Resource Center for Cooperation of Women’s Entrepreneurs

There is a net of Women Resource Centers in Finland and Russia already existing. During a dozen of years they were arranging a long-life education, in mentoring for the start-uppers, in development of gender equality and improvement of women position on the labor market. Now we are thinking about establishing of the International Russian-Finnish Resource Center for women-entrepreneurs in Saint Petersburg.

The Centre would provide training and business-consulting by Finnish and Russian coaches, arranging of B2B visits, promoting of businesses, products and services in both countries in order to build transnational trade and economic links, to support start-uppers or those who want to promote their products and services on the international level.

Desired partners are organizations providing training, promoting and supporting entrepreneurs on the focus territories of Finland.

Creation of infrastructure for a small yacht port in Lomonosov

Project idea objectives are in line with the regional strategy of our public organization, which is aimed at building economic prosperity and an attractive image of the region. The tourism industry is one of the priorities of the regional development of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region with the participation of dozens of companies and entrepreneurs. SPb ROO SC OOLPS actively supports the development of small ports and water tourism in the East Gulf of Finland. The water area in the vicinity of Lomonosov and St. Petersburg is a unique place for lovers of history, nature and the sea. The development of small guest yacht ports, networks and information exchange, improving security, effective marketing and information services for tourists are prerequisites for the growth of water tourism and business around it. 30 miles The RUSFIN project is an ideal tool for the SPB SC OOLPS to achieve strategic goals related to attracting more travelers and developing the tourism industry in the region.

Main planned activities are construction of a small yacht port infrastructure project; determination of the contractor; manufacturing of a floating house-office for a yacht club; start-up; creating a marketing program to promote the services of the new yacht port; integration into existing business of the system of transboundary yachting and involvement of international participants in yacht events, organized in St. Petersburg.

Desired partners are from Finland and Russia: RANEPA (Rus), Cursor (Fin) and South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences (XAMK).

Cross-boundary spatial planning and harmonization of territory development

Project idea objective is creation of conditions for harmonious development of territories on the principles of spatial planning.

Main planned activities are analysis of human economic activity in the Baltic region and its impact on the environment and living conditions; analysis of national development priorities of territories and development of proposals for cross-border priorities; identification of areas and trends negatively affecting the environment and living conditions; identification of blue growth sectors and territories, justification of conditions for their development, sectoral and territorial modeling and forecasting on the basis of the developed models; analysis of legislation and governance structures of the Baltic region countries regulating spatial development.

Desired partners are from Baltic and Barents region, Finland, Estonia, Norway. Universities or Research institutions experienced and interested in spatial planning, creation of territory or sectoral development models.

First news on third round of call

South-East Finland – Russia CBC 2014-2020 programme’s third round of call was closed on 28 March 2018 and in total 32 applications were submitted by the due date and time. In all ca. € 23,5 Mio is applied for the ENI CBC funding. The Managing Authority, assisted with its branch office, will now launch the Administrative and Eligibility checks and should there be any needs for further clarifications, the lead applicants are contacted in written during the first week of May, latest.
